Lake Superior Ice Fishing Trips |

Lake Superior's Chequamegon Bay and the outlying Apostle Islands can offer ice fishing trips unlike any other body of water in the lower 48 states! It has it all... Whether you are looking for that special yearly trip or just looking for a once in a life time trip. Lake superior offers the experience and memories of hooking a 20+ pound lake trout out of 200 feet of water near the Apostle Islands to fishing the shallower Chequamegon Bay for smallmouth bass and Coho salmon to whitefish and steelhead. This body of water has it all for ice anglers. Fishable ice comes to Chequamegon bay first around the middle to end of December when we start out fishing river mouths and the shallower waters of the bay for everything from steelhead and brown trout to Coho salmon and yellow perch. From the 2nd week or so of January we will start fishing the deeper waters of the bay into the apostle islands for whitefish and brown trout to the jewel of lake superior the lake trout the king of the big lake. As our season starts wrapping up in march we come full circle and start working the shallows again for trout and salmon and the other warm water fish of the bay. Our ice season then wraps up around the end of march into the first week or so of April most years.
CHEQUAMEGON BAY The fishing will be in waters of 8-30 feet. This trip is great fun with tip-ups going up and jig poles bending down you never know what may be on the end of the line. It may be a seven pound Walleye, a five pound Smallmouth Bass, a trophy Northern Pike, or white fish & herring or yellow perch you just never know what will come to the hole when you set the hook This trip lasts from 6-8 hours a day. Guests must provide their own lunch and snacks , beverages . We can handle larger groups on the shallow water fishing ice fishing trips All gear is provided unless you have your own favorite ice fishing gear. Shallow river mouth trout fishing Come join us as we explore the shallow water for big river mouth steelhead and brown trout as we sight fish these drag screaming torpedo's in less than 6 ft of water. We also offer great combo trips for brown trout and splake in and around the apostle islands of Lake Superior. This type of ice fishing for trout is an experience in its self sight fishing for big lake run trout thru a 10 inch hole peering down into the wintery world of the trout. Rates for ice fishing trips are $350 a day for 1 to 2 guests most trips last 6 plus hrs The larger the group the more you save call for details on large groups.

Deep water lake
trout & whitefish trips offer deep water jigging
with rod in hand like you have never seen before. We will be jigging
for Lake Trout
& whitefish in depths of 60ft
down to 260ft of water. Lake Trout are "the bulldogs of the
deep" & have no rivals when it comes to the their powerful hits or
their dogged fight. Every ice angler should try this
type of fishing at least once in their lives. The experience of being
out miles from the shore (sometimes up to 20 miles, among the Apostle Islands!),
is a grand experience that words cannot explain. The whitefish is also a
very scrappy fighter and also great table fare. These sometimes
"under-rated" fish are a great time on medium to light ice tackle.
